How To Become A Christian

This my 1st assignment.
How To Become A Christian

1st we know that Jesus Christ who die for us, for our sins. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). So that now we have the chance to be saved, how are we or which way can save us from sin? We should now go to the bible that the Scripture, the word of God to help us. In Romans 6:1-4 is the way that can save us from sins.

Faith is the first step that one should take to be saved. In Hebrews 11:6, ‘But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.’ So we must have faith for the 1st step. What is faith? Faith means believing, believing what? In Romans 10:17, ‘So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.’ What are we to believe of? We are believe of Jesus is the Christ and is the Son of God. In John 20:31, ‘but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.’

Repentance is the second step that one should take to be saved. We have to repent for our sins and be baptized. In Acts 2:38, Peter said to the people in Pentecost, ‘Repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’ Repentance is not feeling sorry for sins, rather godly sorrow works repentance or brings repentance, example 2 Corinthians 7:10, ‘For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted: but the sorrow of the word produces death.’

Confession is the third step that one should take to be saved. In Matthew 10:32, ‘Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.’ Jesus taught us to confess him before man. Romans 10:10, ‘For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. One of the example in the Bible who confess Jesus is the Ethiopia eunuch, Philip who had helped and studied which him, and the Ethiopia eunuch who had believe Jesus and confessed him finally he was baptized and having rejoicing in his way back to Ethiopia. This example can be refer on Acts 8:26-39.

Baptism is the fourth step that one should take to be saved. The Bible had teaches us about baptism. In Mark 16:16, Jesus said, ‘He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.’ In Acts 2:38, Peter said that, ‘… Repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…’ Ananias said to Paul, ‘And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’

  • Repentance - Acts 17:30
  • Confession – Romans 10:10
